Race of Remembrance 2020

Returning to the wonderful Anglesey circuit for the seventh year, the 2020 Race of Remembrance commemorates the sacrifices made by Service Personnel and their families.

The Race of Remembrance is a Remembrance Service with a race built around it. The pitlane service at 1100hrs on the Sunday is like no other and those that attend will find it a profoundly moving experience.

COVID 19

We are working hard to ensure RoR 20 goes ahead as planned in accordance with the guidance issued by MSUK. We ask you to enter and if plans change there are three options:

1. MM will secure your deposit and transfer to RoR 21

2. Return deposit

3. Allow MM to keep deposit as a donation to the charity

Where and when is it held?

Anglesey Circuit (Trac Mon) LL63 5TF, Remembrance Weekend, 6th-8th November 2020.

Who can enter?

Any team whose drivers hold a minimum of a Motorsport UK Race Inter-club licence. All cars must pass scrutineering by a Motorsport UK scrutineer.

Class Structure/Entry Regs:

Supplementary Regs 2020 will be published as soon as possible. Classes will be based on a power/weight ratio. For all questions regarding regulations please contact Claire Smith cs@missionmotorsport.org

If you race in a series that would like to run within its own class then please contact us asap. Motorsport UK mandates a minimum 5 cars to make an official class and Race of Remembrance is following that. We’d be more than happy to factor in a new class if demand exists, Email ror@missionmotorsport.org for a conversation.

Entry Fees:

The entry fee for the 2020 RoR is £2,600. A deposit of £500 is payable on booking with the remainder due by or before 31st August 2020.

Testing:

A short session of free testing will be included in the entry fee for all teams. Specific timings confirmed when the timetable is released.

Tyres:

All cars must run tyres that are on the Motorsport UK acceptable tyre list (List 1A,1B or 1C). Bespoke classes that are subsequently created may require adherence to the specific regulations for that series, this is inclusive but not limited to the use of a control tyre . Full details on this will be issued in the Race of Remembrance 2020 Regulations. For the avoidance of doubt full race slicks and wets are forbidden.

Relay Teams:

We welcome relay teams again this year. Relay teams please note that there will be no relay teams marquee this year.

Overseas Entries

All overseas participants competing on a licence not issued by Motorsport UK must present at sign on an “Authorisation of Participation” certificate issued by their National Licensing body (ASN). Drivers will not be allowed to sign on and compete in the event without all required paperwork. Please remember this event is not on an international permit and therefore an FIA International authorisation printed on licence cards will not authorise you to compete in this national permitted event.

Fuel:

As in previous years, Vital Equipment will set up their multi pump rig within the paddock. Further information on this, including their pricing for 2020 will be released when confirmed.

Social Media:

The Race of Remembrance Twitter feed is constantly updated with information, press releases and more through the year on @MM_RoR. Likewise the Facebook page can be found at https://www.facebook.com/RaceofRemembrance/
